Study Breaks

When studying coursework for the Cornell-Queen's EMBA program, I find it is important and required to take study breaks. In my undergraduate days, it was generally hanging with friends for a quick game of DOOM, Quake or another MMORG game before these games were really MMORG. Okay, maybe it was study avoidance rather than breaks, but the intension was still there. Take time out of studying to do something that clears the mind.

Now-a-days, I don't have time to game. When I am not working, I try to spend time with the family. When they are in bed and I need a study break, I turn to an old stand by, Doctor Who. The new season just started. I love DVRs so I can record each episode and play them when I need the break. When I am done with the current episodes, I turn to Netflix to play the current and classics....

Why go to Cornell-Queens EMBA Program? Team Enviornment

What do I get out of it? The team environment. I get to work with people from a variety of different backgrounds giving me a broad and well-rounded perspective on different approaches to solving complex problems.

I have already learned so much from just being with the team that sometimes the education in the lectures is just the means to get to the team learning environment.

CQEMBA Update

It has been almost 3 months since I have started the craziness of the Cornell Queens MBA program. I have completed 4 classes. I will be taking a final this Saturday in another. So by the end of this week, about 20% of the course work will be completed.

I have lost some sleep but together with the team I am getting through.
